Mechanical VPF
Krytox® PFPE vacuum pump fluids provide excellent lubrication for demanding applications in the
semiconductor, aerospace, nuclear energy, and chemical processing industries. Krytox® products are nonflammable and environmentally friendly. Krytox VPF fluids are now available with anti-rust protection. The new fluids are called 1506XP, 1514XP, 1525XP, and 1531XP. The long-term anti-rust properties repel moisture, providing extra protection from corrosion of metal parts and bearing surfaces.
The table below shows the three grades of Krytox 1500 series fluids and their viscosities. The vapor pressure of all these grades is 10–7 torr at 20ºC (68ºF), which is one order of magnitude lower than competitive fluids.
